On October 27th, the opening ceremony of the 9th Sichuan Agricultural Expo and the "Tianfu Granary" Cooperation and Development Conference were held at the China Western International Expo City in Chengdu. The Sichuan Agricultural Expo, one of the three mechanism-based exhibitions hosted by the provincial government, has become an important platform for agricultural opening up, investment promotion and trade cooperation in Sichuan and even the western region.

The guest country of honor of the 9th Sichuan Agricultural Expo is Pakistan, with Chongqing Municipality and Zhejiang Province as the theme provinces, and Bazhong City and Nanchong City as the theme cities. Twenty countries and 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country are participating, with over 2,000 enterprises taking part. The exhibition area, internationalization level and the number of purchasers have all reached the highest level in previous sessions. During the event, more than 40 activities will be held, including the opening ceremony of the Pakistan National Pavilion, the High-Quality Development Conference on Agricultural International Trade, the 2023 (Third) National Agricultural Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Conference, a series of high-quality agricultural product production and sales connection meetings, a procurement briefing for well-known purchasers, and the Southwest Agricultural and Agricultural Materials Cooperation and Development Conference. The expo will last until October 30.
