Since its inception in 2013, the Sichuan Agricultural Expo (SAE) has been held for 11 editions, with Thailand, Malaysia, Argentina, Pakistan, Hungary, and Kazakhstan successively serving as its guest countries of honor. After years of development, the SAE has grown into a key platform in western China for opening up and cooperation, investment promotion, and agricultural product trading in the agricultural sector.
The 12th SAE will be held in Chengdu from September 17 to 20, 2026, spanning a planned area of 100,000 square meters. The Expo is scheduled to feature a number of characteristic pavilions and exhibition areas, including the “Tianfu Granary” Premium Brand Industry Chain & Ecosystem Pavilion, the City (Prefecture) Premium Agriculture Exhibition Area, the National Premium Agriculture Exhibition Area, the International Premium Agriculture Exhibition Area, and the Rural Revitalization Through Industrial Collaboration Exhibition Area.
The Expo will feature seven major events, including the opening ceremony of the 12th SAE, the government officials’ and buyers’ venue tours, and a diverse range of activities dedicated to the guest country of honor. In addition, targeted matchmaking sessions for Sichuan’s advantageous agricultural industries and supply-demand matchmaking events for SAE-certified quality products will be organized. These activities aim to facilitate communication between exhibitors and the consumer market, contributing to the establishment of an exhibition ecosystem that integrates both online and offline channels.
Moreover, hundreds of buyers from various sectors will be invited to attend the Expo for procurement and business discussions. These include representatives from well-known e-commerce platforms, large supermarket chains, major distributors and wholesalers, large catering companies or hotels, and industry associations.
