The 10th Sichuan Agricultural Expo (SAE) and the 2nd Smart Agriculture Expo opened in Chengdu on September 20^th, 2024. Zhu Chunxiu, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, declared the opening. Hu Yun, Vice Governor of Sichuan province, and Jakab István, Deputy Speaker of Hungarian National Assembly, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The 10th SAE has become an important platform for agricultural opening-up and cooperation, as well as for promoting agricultural trade and investment in Sichuan and even western China. With the theme of "Showcasing the Richness of the Land of Abundance and the Essence of Global Agriculture", this expo invited Hungary served as the guest country of honor for the first time, Chongqing served as the theme provinces and Aba served as the theme city respectively. Over 2,000 enterprises from 22 countries participated in the expo, including 11 national pavilions. Additionally, over 100 professional buyers and 20 overseas buyers attended the matchmaking events.

For the first time, this expo set up 39 exhibition areas for selected products from underdeveloped counties, and will hold activities such as "The Agricultural Expo Stage, 39 Counties Perform" for production and sales connection, and "Expo Gifts, 39 Counties' Best Picks" live-streaming events. It also introduced the Meituan (Western China) Product Selection Conference for the first time through market-oriented methods, helping exhibitors to find trade opportunities.
